We’re excited to have you join TradeSchool and are here to make sure your experience with our apprenticeship tracking software is smooth and successful.
🔑 Here are some key things to know as you get started with our software.
Training and Support
We use Zoom for our support sessions. During these sessions, we’ll be screen sharing to walk you through the software step by step; you don’t need a front-facing camera. However, we recommend having a microphone on your computer for easier communication. If you don’t have a microphone, no worries! You can easily join the conversation by dialing in using your phone.

Here’s an example of how screen sharing works in Zoom. This feature allows TradeSchool staff to view your screen and provide assistance more effectively.
Computer and Wifi Compatibility
The TradeSchool application is run through FileMaker Pro. In order to run FileMaker you will want to have a new computer (within the last 5 years).

Wifi Speed
We recommend having a minimum internet speed of 50 Mbps up/down. 100 Mbps up/down is recommended.

Onboarding Resources
You’ll have access to all of our onboarding materials, including video tutorials and help articles. Use our Help Center to familiarize yourself with the software at your own pace.

In Person Training Classes Classes are held throughout the year at various training centers across the U.S., with sessions available in summer, fall, winter, and spring.
